Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what personal information taibi.ai collects, why, who we share it with, and how you can see, change or delete it. Nothing beyond essential cookies loads until you choose.

Who we are

taibi.ai provides AI training, coaching and speaking in Australia. It is run by Faisal Taibi from New South Wales. In this policy, “we” and “us” means taibi.ai.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). You can browse this site without telling us who you are. We only need your name and email when you ask us to reply, book or buy.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us and what we need to run the site:

  • Start Learning form. Your name, email, role, and what you want to learn. If you choose to, your company, city, phone number, goals and questions.
  • Contact and speaking enquiries. Your name, email and message. For speaking, also your organisation, event name, date, audience size and budget.
  • Payments. Stripe collects your card details on its own checkout page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us your name, email, what you bought and the amount paid.
  • Technical details. When you send the Start Learning form we store your IP address and browser type, to stop spam and abuse.
  • Usage and ad data. Only if you allow it (see Cookies and tracking): the pages you view, the buttons you click and which ad brought you here.

Please do not send us health information about patients or other people. Our forms are not built for it.

How we use it

  • To reply to you, plan your training and deliver what you booked or bought.
  • To send you emails you asked for: a welcome email with our Telegram community links, order confirmations and session details.
  • To keep the site secure and stop spam.
  • With your permission, to see how the site is used and which ads work.

We do not sell your personal information. We may send you occasional news about programmes and events. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to stop. Order and booking emails still go out, because we need them to deliver the service.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers, and share only what each one needs to do its job:

  • Supabase stores form submissions and orders in our database.
  • Google Firebase hosts this website.
  • Stripe processes payments.
  • Resend sends our emails and keeps our mailing list.
  • Google Analytics measures site use, only with your analytics permission.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) measures our ads, only with your advertising permission.

If you join one of our Telegram groups, Telegram handles your account and messages under its own privacy policy. Other members can see your Telegram name and what you post.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

Overseas disclosure

Several of these providers store or process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States and the European Union. By using this site you understand that your information may be handled under the laws of those countries. We choose providers with strong security and privacy practices, but APP 8.1 may not apply to them.

Cookies and tracking

Essential cookies remember your cookie choice. They are always on. Everything else stays off until you choose. When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time with here or in the footer.

What Meta receives. With your advertising permission, when you send a form or buy a programme we tell Meta about it, along with your email address (scrambled with a one-way hash first), your IP address and browser details, Meta's browser cookies and the campaign details above. For purchases we include the programme and price. We never send your messages, goals or questions.

Checkout. When you buy, we keep a note in your browser for that tab (session storage) of which programme you chose, so the purchase is counted once. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page to prevent fraud.

Withdrawing permission. Turning a category off stops new data being sent and removes the cookies we control. Data already sent stays with Google or Meta under their policies. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

  • Form submissions and enquiries: up to 24 months after we last hear from you, then deleted.
  • Orders and payment records: as long as Australian tax law requires (five years).
  • Google Analytics data: 14 months.
  • Cookies: as listed in the table above.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see Your rights).

Keeping it safe

Every connection to this site is encrypted. Our database is only reachable from our own server code, and only a small number of people can access it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
  • stop sending you marketing emails.

Email hello@taibi.ai. We will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, email hello@taibi.ai. We will reply within 30 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we add a new kind of tracking, the cookie banner will ask you again.
